The large-format color photographs by the Basel-based artist Claudio Moser (born in 1959) collected in this book were created on train rides around New York. The artist impressively succeeds in arresting the passing flood of images and with it memory, and at the same time - by means of an intentional dramaturgical order and the book´s lay-out - to invite the viewer on a trip through a new city not confined to its usual geographical grid.
